I’m Here to Help You Thrive

About Me

My name is Daniela Barrera-Barajas and I am a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 117730), providing counseling/therapy in California. I have 9 years of experience working with adults, children, adolescents and families utilizing evidence-based practices to support people manage anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, grief and loss etc,. I gained the majority of my experience in community mental health which has given me the privilege of working with individuals at-risk facing adversities.

I was born in Southern California and moved to the Bay Area from age 5-18. I returned to Southern California to complete my B.S in Criminal Justice Administration at CSU Dominguez Hills. I then relocated to Northern California to continue to gain experience in the behavioral health field and complete my Master’s of Social Work at Sacramento State University. I received my master level training from the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Child and Adolescent Abuse Resource and Evaluation (CAARE) Diagnostic and Treatment Center. At CAARE I had the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, victims of crime and system involved youth (CPS and Juvenile Justice).

I identify as a first generation Latina, full-time working mom. Like many of you I wear many hats, both professionally and personally, which has helped me understand many of the challenges my clients have or are experiencing.

Overall, I am passionate about supporting people through their healing journey and I am excited about working with you and/or your family getting to a place of peace.
